Battersea Park: Battersea, immediately south of the river is a lively residential area. There are upmarket riverside apartments, and mansion blocks overlooking the Park as well as council blocks and Victorian terraces. Popular Grosvenor Bridge House has over 100 flats. New riverside developments are going up all the time. The five roads dubbed the ‘sisters’ are possibly the most desirable in the area, with stunning Victorian semi detached houses. Clapham Junction has the areas main shopping centre, but there are plenty of restaurants and bars along Battersea Park Road and Kings Road is a five minute taxi ride away. Battersea Park is the areas main source of green space and Central London takes 20 minutes making it popular with commuters.
